TD Summer Reading Club Don’t forget that your physical reading logs should be dropped off at the main branch on or before Friday, August 30th. For your convenience the number of titles can be submitted online right up until midnight on August 31st using the following online form. The Summer End Party will be held on Thursday, August 29th at 2pm. Come celebrate all your hard work and reading accomplishments. Food and drink will be provided.

Arthur Nishimura: Mystical Landscapes TREX Art Exhibit will be on display at the main branch from August 29th through September 24th. Arthur is an Albertan photographer whose medium is traditional black and white, hand developed, film-based photography. He captures images of landscapes as well as the depiction of the every day, but in both cases, his photographs develop an expressive mood through the use of analog photographic techniques. This exhibition focuses on the landscapes and consists of 20 works from the collection of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.

Rattle and Chat
will run on Wednesday September 11th - October 16th from 10:30 -11:30am in the Wild Rose Room. This free partner program between Lac La Biche County Libraries & Parent Link is designed for ages 0 - 17 months and their caregivers with no registration required.

Registration for Read and Roll is now open! Call 780-623-7467 for more details or to add your child (aged 3 or 4) to the list. This free partner program between the Lac La Biche County Libraries, Parent Link and Alberta Health Services will start on September 12th. Come read books and then roll with activities to explore the story concepts.

Rhyme Time will be back on Thursday, September 12th in the Wild Rose Room staring at 10:30am. This free drop in partner program between the Lac La Biche County Libraries and Parent Link is designed for ages 0 to 5 and no registration is required.

Author Katherine Koller will be visiting our libraries on October 3rd as part of the Young Alberta Book Society Taleblazers tour. She lives in Edmonton, Alberta, and writes for stage (theatre, ballet, opera and dance), screen, radio and creates fictional works both full length and short. Her presentations are suitable for Middle & High School Students, as well as adults.
